WEEK 4: Task 2 Video Interview

I was unable to complete this task using recordr.tv which was disappointing since it looked like such a great recording tool. Ah well. Instead I used educreations.com to upload a photo and then record my answers to the 2 questions we were given: 1) Why did you chose to become a teacher? 2) What do you like most about being a teacher? (The photo was taken at graduation last year.)

WEEK 4 Task 4: Draw Your Family

The assignment was to draw your family on a virtual whiteboard and to make a recording of your drawing and your explanation of the picture.

I was unable to use http://sketchcast.com/ as suggested so I used http://www.educreations.com/ instead. The tools are very basic and I can't imagine myself drawing anything this way from scratch. However, it would be very useful tool to describe images and photographs and so that's what I did instead.

WEEK 4 Task 3: A Video Questionnaire

The site intervue.me allows users to post a question and then viewers can give a video response.  Our task was to post a question and to respond to other questions.

I had no trouble with the audio/video when I posted a response to another question so I'm a little puzzled as to why I was not successful using recordr in the previous task.  Curious!

WEEK 4 Task 2: Video Interview

We were to record our answers to the 2 questions below using http://recordr.tv/.

2) What do you like most about being a teacher?

The video worked fine but the audio kept cutting in and out so I had to give up on using this site.  I'm still thinking about how best to respond.  Hmm...

WEEK 4 Task 1: Learning about Speaking Tools

I watched the assigned video (link below) and then looked at the assignments for Week 4.

I then spent most of the afternoon exploring the sites to be used for Task 4. I'm very excited since most of them are recording tools that can be used to make listening activities. Fotobabble will be especially useful, I think!

I'm determined!

I'm disappointed that I haven't been able to keep up - just too many unexpected things showed up.  (Life got in the way!) However, I can now sympathize with my students a little more when things don't get done on time.  In any case, I'm going to do my best to do the tasks for Week 4 and then I'll go back and tackle the ones I haven't done yet in Week 3.  So...off to work!
